Good blue pictorial dust jacket featuring a map of Chicago and black titling to cover and spine, major sunning to covers, shelf wear and chipping to top edges, tape over closed tears to back panel, protected in a paper-backed Mylar sleeve. [VIII] 164 pp. replete with full-color plates, many double-page and fold-out. Includes illustrations and Index. Originally published in 1909, by the civic-minded Commercial Club of Chicago, this remains among major historical documents recounting one of the greatest accomplishments of American city planning. The plan of Chicago was masterfully designed by Daniel Burnham, a leading architect and pioneer of the Chicago School of high-rise construction.
