Publication produced in conjunction with a memorial exhibition of Charles Burchfield’s paintings, drawings, and prints held at the Museum of Art, Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute in Utica, New York April 9th- May 31, 1970. 12 pp. Contents include introduction essays by the Director and Assistant Director of the Museum, list of art lenders, and catalogue of works divided into “Early Work from 1905-1935” and paintings.  Charles Burchfield was an American modernist painter who celebrated nature in his watercolors and was considered to be one of the leaders in the art of synesthesia.
