A beautiful selection of his work. Kipniss's work is often characterized by still lifes and landscapes infused with a surreal and meditative stillness. Silhouettes of trees dot misty landscapes; shadowy shapes and outlines of plates, fruits, and other still-life objects evoke Magritte-esque domestic interiors; the soft outlines of homes merge with hazy fields and hillsides. The show also celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of Kipniss's first solo exhibition. Heavy and oversized items may require additional shipping.
