Notes: Very Good 8 1/2" x 11" 8vo exhibition catalogue in stiff glossy pictorial wraps featuring the 1938 F. Becker wood engraving, "Birth of John Henry" to the cover, white text to black cover, some rippling to covers at spine, slight bumping to tips, else clean, tightly bound, and unmarked throughout. 60pp. replete with black-and-white images of 53 works in the exhibition which featured European and American prints in the collection of the University of Oregon Museum of Art. Also includes a Foreword by Director Stephen C. McGough, Acknowledgements and Introduction by the Department of Art History's Richard G. Mann, Notes on the Catalogue, An Overview of the Graphics Arts under the Works Projects Administration, a Catalogue of Works under the Works Projects Administration, Frequently Cited Sources, and a Catalogue of 73 listed prints. Each entry is accompanied by a short biography of the artist when available, the process by which the print was created, and notes on socio-political messaging or artistic intent.
